Area Yield Protection (AYP) – formerly GRP
- A yield only protection policy.
- Uses an expected market price and expected county yield to determine the maximum protection/acre
- There is no price protection built into this.
Area Revenue Protection (ARP) – formerly GRIP - HR
- A revenue based policy
- It uses expected county yield like AYP but uses the higher of spring or harvest price for the guarantee like the RP plan
Area Revenue Protection Harvest Price Exclusion (ARP-HPE) - formerly GRIP
- ARP-HPE only uses spring price and provides only a revenue guarantee
Margin Protection (MP) - for Corn & Soybeans
- Provides coverage against increased input costs and/or reduced county yields or commodity prices
- County-based policy with coverage levels up to 95%
- Can be purchased as a stand-alone policy or in conjunction with a Revenue Protection or Yield Protection base policy
- Sales closing date is September 30
Pasture, Rangeland, Forage Coverage (PRF)
- Provides coverage on pasture acres to cover replacement feed costs if - due to a lack of precipitation - a loss of forage for grazing or hay for harvesting occurs
- Area-based precipitation index
- Insures pasture, hay ground, or a combination of both
- Sales closing date is December 1
