Auction Results08.10.22Auction Results Land Sales in Last 6 monthsThe listing includes results for 114 different farmland auctions reported since Feb. 2022. These public auctions concluded with successful bids and represented 10,974 total acres in 28 different counties selling for a grand total of $162.5 million with an average price of $14,807 per acre. The highest price per acre was $21,500 for Class A land in Sangamon County; the lowest price per acre was $4,285 for Class C land in Jefferson County.

News08.09.22Farmland Value Benchmark Study ResultsThe 2022 benchmark update for the Farm Credit Illinois territory shows a booming land market. Nineteen of the 20 benchmarks showed increases in value with only one benchmark farm remaining unchanged. The variability of increases in the FCI territory reinforce that agricultural land is a location specific asset.
